Job Overview:
We're looking for an experienced on-site communications manager to lead and deliver all customer and colleague communications across our retail locations! You'll make sure our messaging is consistent, engaging and commercially effective--enhancing the customer journey, building brand equity and driving performance.
You'll plan and deliver all point-of-sale (POS) and digital touchpoints on site, making sure they're impactful, relevant and aligned with brand and business objectives. You'll also work closely with trade planning, branded suppliers and partners to deliver joint promotions and promotional campaigns that boost performance and customer engagement. Looking for ways to reduce complexity and cost, improve speed to market and innovate.
Key Responsibilities:
POS and digital communications
Be responsible for the strategy and development of all on-site POS and digital touchpoints--signage, displays, digital screens, self-service kiosks, menu boards and more.
Work with key collaborators across marketing, operations and trading to deliver communications that are right first time, follow brand guidelines and improve customer engagement (whilst enhancing central income opportunities?)
Collaborate with collaborators, including NOE/HUB, to improve efficiency, reduce complexity and cost, and speed up delivery.
Promotional campaigns and supplier partnerships
Partner with B&C, dedication teams and branded suppliers to plan and deliver promotional campaigns on site that align to business objectives / KPI's
Coordinate co-branded campaigns that balance supplier goals with business needs to drive incremental sales.
Own the PCA process for marketing, including reviewing implementation and competitor activity. (Note: Commercial analysis sits with the planning manager--confirm if this is accurate.)
Colleague engagement
Deliver internal communications across CO and DO to help site colleagues understand and expertly implement promotional activity.
Act as the link between central teams and operations to ensure consistent messaging and execution.
Project and partner management
Lead communications for site-based projects such as key campaigns, site works and product launches - linking in with B&C
Partner with marketing, operations, trade planning and external suppliers to ensure flawless execution.
Lead third-party agencies - includes the HUB
Measurement and reporting
Supervise the efficiency of POS, digital comms and supplier promotions using targets such as compliance, sales uplift, footfall and customer feedback
Look for innovative ways to improve customer communications and optimise costs.
Share insights and recommend improvements as the PCA lead for marketing working collaboratively with key collaborators i.e. operations, marketing and trading.
Oversea and own the BTL Budget - includes forecasting, cost optimisation and tracking
Skills:
Experience in retail communications, POS management or promotional marketing--multi-site or FMCG/CPG experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge of digital touchpoints and how to optimise them for engagement.
Experience working with 3rd party agencies, branded suppliers or FMCG partners on joint campaigns.
Excellent project management and organisational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
Analytical demeanor with the ability to measure success and share insights.
Highly organised, proactive and delivery-focused.
Collaborative teammate with positive relationship skills.
Commercially minded, with an understanding of how on-site communications influence sales.
Creative problem-solver who brings new insights to life in a fast-paced retail environment.
Ability to lead partners, up to director level, across local and global teams
Customer focussed - ability to put yourself in the customer shoes and ensure what we do in marketing drives the right customer behaviour
