The Langham, London; Europe's first Grand Hotel and 5rated property, is currently recruiting for an Instructor and Production Chef to join our talented team in our cookery school, Sauce by The Langham. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation and production of food and engage with our guests during events and to support the hosting chef in delivering positive, memorable cooking experiences.

In the role of Instructor and Production Chef, your key focus will be to:

contribute to the development and delivery of cooking classes and guest experiences by sharing your culinary expertise assist the Kitchen Manager in the preparation and production of food ensure that the highest standards are maintained at all times ensure that the kitchen areas designated, equipment and utensils are always kept clean and tidy to the standards required by the hotel communicate well with all colleagues and to engage with our guests during events support the hosting chef in delivering positive, memorable cooking experiences during quieter periods in the Sauce Kitchen (your primary department), assist other kitchen outlets within the hotel as needed

Do you have?

previous similar experience and keen interest in the food industry current or recent experience in teaching culinary skills, or a strong desire and aptitude to be trained for an instructional role a high level of skill or expertise in a specific cuisine or culinary area (e.g., bread-making, regional cooking, etc.), with the ability to translate that into engaging guest experiences or classes ability to multi-task and work under pressure good interpersonal and communication skills excellent attention to detail food safety training along with relevant culinary qualifications
