Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled insulation inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be at least DEA qualified, (NVQ's in installing insulation advantageous) field-based, and have good communication skills. This role involves carrying out visual inspections of retrofit insulation and heating installations, ensuring the system is operational and has been installed in accordance with industry guidelines and best practices.

Mix the inspections around your existing workload or do full days of inspections with realistic 250-400 per day on target earnings. Invoices paid upon receipt.

You will be self employed, need your own vehicle, be computer literate, polite and confident entering peoples houses.

Retrofit Assessor or Coordinator (Preffered)

NVQ / Or CCN1 in date (Both preferred but not essential depending on experience)

H&S Awareness (we can assign this training if necessary)

Working at heights (we can assign this training if necessary)

Asbestos awareness (we can assign this training if necessary)

Licence

We will assess your competency on site and provide customer focused training during the onboarding process (usually delivered on site while assessing competency)

Duties

Conduct on site visual inspections of insulation systems to ensure correct installation / commissioning (no tools required) Conduct visual assessment of heating systems radiators, thermostatic valves, room stat, gas meter, filter, water softener (where required) and boiler flue to ensure compliance with gas regulations Assess the customer has been provided with the correct paperwork Identify and report any areas of non conformance using our app (simple to use and available on the app store / google play.) Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with clients during assessments Be able to review corrective evidence and confirm that any non conformances raised have been satisfied.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an insulation inspector or in a similar role Strong technical knowledge Proficient in ECO related insulation systems. Familiarity with the completing of the benchmark/ commissioning paperwork Ability to identify where installs are left at risk to the customer Strong customer service orientation, ensuring property owner is comfortable and understands the process and what the inspection entails Comfortable with the use of ladders for accessing loft areas (to check vertical flues)
If you are already field based, managing an existing workload this may suit you well, you can mix the inspections around your existing workload (average inspection takes around 20-30 minutes) We have various areas around England and Scotland. You will be expected to demonstrate that you are competent during competency based assessments.

Pay: 26,969.79-69,772.15 per year
