Insurance Adviser: Home Insurance (Buildings & Contents)

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our growing team. As part of the Home Insurance team you will be providing expert advice to the people of the UK, helping to protect their most valuable assets such as their home and their possessions by arranging Buildings & Contents insurance.

The role comes with a basic salary of 24,000 per annum + bonus (OTE 30,000-32,000).

Cores Duties - Summary:



Advise clients regarding their Home Insurance needs (e.g. Building & Contents and also cover for Landlords).

Source the most appropriate cover and carry out tailored quotations for customers based on their circumstances and requirements.

Your research may involve liaising with Underwriters regarding factors that could have an impact on policies.

Apply for cover and manage applications with each respective insurer.

Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by post, telephone and email.

Produce accurate policy and customer documentation at the point of sale to comply with the companies' regulatory framework.

Provide the highest levels of customer service and advice to produce and retain business.

The role is telephone-based servicing clients across the UK. This is NOT a 'Call Centre' role, but you do need desire to carry out outbound contact.

It's worth noting that our Home Insurance Advisers aren't caught up in loads of admin. Once you've protected your client, you'll have Client Support colleagues to take care of the next steps, leaving you to get on with your role.

It's important to always have a high regard for compliance within a FCA regulated business and adhering to all legislation and regulatory guidelines.

Skills and Experience - Essential:



Previous experience in an insurance setting.

Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal.

Competencies:



Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to demonstrate an outstanding telephone manner. Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. A proven track record in working efficiently with attention to detail and adherence to process. Demonstrates reliability, transparency and honesty. Excellent time management skills, able to plan your duties within your day. Excellent organizational skills and capable of multi-tasking to tight deadlines. Co-operates well with others, adapting to a team ethos, always showing team spirit. Demonstrates problem solving attributes when required.
As we are regulated by the FCA we are unable to accept applications from anyone with a history of bankruptcy, IVAs or CCJs.

Working Hours:



37.5 hrs per week on a flexible basis (No weekends!) Normal business hours are: Monday - Friday, 9:30am-6:00pm. One day each week will vary from this, working 11:30am-8:00pm. Hybrid working option (working 2 days at home and 3 days in the office) can be made available to those wishing to do it, after probation period.

Pay and Benefits:



24,000 basic salary per annum + bonus (OTE 30,000 - 32,000). Uncapped Commissions - the more policies you arrange, the more commission you will earn. 28 Days Holiday plus Extra Annual Leave as a Loyalty Day for each year of service (capped at +7).
