Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our evolving team, working within an insurance claims-handling company.

Your main duties will include assessing the validity of claims, answering the telephone and email enquiries in a timely and professional manner. This will include dealing with claimants and rental companies. You will also be assessing vehicle excess insurance claims via an online portal.

We want to provide an "unexpectedly personal" experience for all our claimants and as a claims specialist you will be at the fore front.

This position is full-time office based and the working hours are Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm.

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following tasks;



- Responding to telephone calls and managing emails in a professional manner, responding to them within set timescales and with relevant, accurate and complete information.

- Assessing the validity of a claim, in line with the Terms and Conditions applicable to the policy purchased, from the initial submission to settlement.

- Telephoning claimants and rental companies to seek documentation/information in order for claims to be finalised.

- Identifying and assessing claimants needs to achieve satisfaction.

- Identifying any potentially fraudulent activity.

- Recognising when a claimant is dissatisfied and dealing with this in the correct manner.

- Following communication guidelines, procedures, and policies.

- Meeting personal qualitative and quantitative targets.

- Upholding the high level of customer service expected from the company.

- Learning and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the company's products.

- Previous claims experience ideal but open to first time applicants as full training will be provided.
