Salary: 31,490 - 33,147



Location: Ealing office base with hybrid working.



Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week

Role Overview



We are looking for an

Insurance Officer

to join our dedicated Governance and Compliance department. The key purpose of this role is to support the group's insurance programme in the management and handling of claims and related tasks. This role will also be tasked with ensuring that all claims are correctly logged, captured and up to date.


Key responsibilities:




Insurance/ Claims Handling

Contribute to and assist in the development of the insurance programme as part of the Group's financial strategy Record & log all insurable events correctly onto the group's insurance claims database Manage claims for all insured covers in accordance with internal processes Ensure that all claims are up to date in time for monthly and quarterly reporting cycles Collate, review and evaluate all evidence and supporting information in order to inform liability decisions Analyse all supporting data to determine appropriate and fair settlements where liability has been conceded Issue monthly and Quarterly claims reports Attend regular claim review meetings to ensure that matters are correctly investigated Oversee the allocation and/ or response to all correspondence relating to claims or other insurance matters and queries

Customer Service

Resolve internal and external customer queries promptly, including liaison with the A2Dominion operational teams, residents, insurers, loss adjusters, solicitors and other 3rd parties as required Support the development and delivery of staff training

Risk Management

Support the management of insurance databases as required Assist in identifying claim trends and suggesting risk mitigation techniques Assist in influencing change to ensure that the organisations remains robust and able to defend claims Support the implementation and monitoring of insurance related and risk


Financial

Present claims for denial/ settlement and settle claims in line with internal procedures Monitor the cost of claims, under excess claims and associated costs Ensure correct allocation of claim costs

More about you



Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Math's and English (Grades A- C)
Holding or working towards insurance qualifications or certified training Experience working with both internal and external customers Proven experience working within an insurance role with knowledge of casualty and property claims ideally from an in-house role, broker or insurer Technical experience with policy documents and wordings Able to communicate verbally and in writing to a high standard of literacy IT skills, intermediate to advanced level of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and power point
