Due to the location of our sites you must have your own transport.

Main duties include (but not limited to):

The ability to unload pallet deliveries daily, and to aid with the weighing in and out of deliveries and collections, where necessary. Using the relevant computer systems to determine that a silo has sufficient capacity to accommodate the delivery weight, whilst providing necessary assistance to the drivers ensuring the delivery is received and stored securely within the correct silo. Assisting with all required intake checks, following the Technical Acceptance Requirements, and completing the Weighbridge Intake procedure, e.g. labels, weights, intake sheets and any other associated documents. Collecting samples of selected products as per the Technical Acceptance Requirements ensuring they are labelled correctly. Ensuring that raw material and packaging deliveries are correctly labelled with information needed, e.g. Product Code, PO number, Batch, BBD, Weight, and stored in the designated area. To be Banksman for drivers to keep the site, staff, and visitors as safe as possible - Training will be provided. Assisting with the intake of fresh and frozen goods, ensuring all required checks, as per the Technical Acceptance Requirements, are completed in a timely manner and recorded on the appropriate documentation. Helping to maintain company GMP and BRC Standards across site, assisting to keep areas clean and tidy. Reporting potential hazards and health and safety issues in a timely and efficient manner. To aid with stock rotation of goods, to make sure oldest products are used first. To take note of the Production Plan and arrange packaging to be readily accessible to the Production Areas. To provide limited cover for the Intake Coordinator, using the computer systems available. To be able to follow a pre-determined recipe to pre-batch a group of premixes for the mill, to aid with smooth running. To aid in feeding product to the mill daily and within time for production, to not slow the mill down during the weekly production runs.
The above is not exhaustive, and you will be expected to assist with other duties that are commensurate with the role.

Requirements, experience and person specification:



Forklift License. Previous experience working with stock and pallets desirable, but not essential. Communication skills, phone, written and verbal to effectively disseminate information within the business, as well as customers and suppliers who may be visiting site. Good English and Math knowledge. Teamwork - personable and comfortable to work alone or as part of a team. Can solve basic problems within the scope of their role. Creative thinking to add to the development to the team for new processes in a growing business. Can do attitude - willing to seek solutions. Honest and empathetic with a sense of perspective. A fast learner who can pick up basic information about the products they see daily, and of the products developed on site. Flexibility to be able to work in a different area of the business if required, and to work outside of their normal working hours given reasonable notice, in accordance with the Employee Contract. Computer literate with experience of Microsoft applications. Willingness to further their training within the company, with courses and training sessions. Good time management and being able to sort through tasks in a timely manner. ?Ensure that you understand and adhere to your personal responsibilities with regard the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 or Health and Safety at Work (Northern Ireland) Order SI 1978/1039
