The Integration Developer will primarily work to develop, maintain and enhance the Synnovis Integration Engine.
Develop - Development for the Integration Engine is typically driven by project work. Projects start with a request for a solution to connect applications to each other. These can be internal applications within the Synnovis organisation or external applications, requested by a customer. A project can involve working with other teams within the IT department - Project Management, the Solution Delivery and Infrastructure teams. Some projects involve directly liaising with customers or end users.
Maintain - Maintenance for the Integration Engine is providing support for the application. Information on new solutions and other changes to the Integration Engine should be documented and shared with all who provide support for the application. Support can be requested by a user or through escalation from other teams within the IT department.
Enhance - Enhancement for the Integration Engine requires taking a continuous improvement approach. The Integration Engine is business-critical - it moves large volumes of data continuously and interruptions or poor performance can have a serious impact. To maintain efficiency of the application, future development, and support, it is important to look for improvements to the code base and elsewhere.
