Intensive Family Coordinator Job description
We are looking for a motivated practitioner who works in a solution focused manner, has a can-do attitude, and has an ability to do work creatively to support children and families as part of our Intensive Family Support Service.
This is a hands-on role working intensively with a small group of families with diverse and multi-faceted needs. You will be a key part of the plan in place to make improvements to address key worries such as neglect, poor home conditions, and safety and wellbeing of children, and you will work alongside social workers and other partners to provide a holistic support package.
You will work intensively in family homes and out in the community, visiting your families multiple times a week for extended visits to really get to know them and understand what works for them and their wider support network.
You will provide practical support, modelling skills and walking alongside families to support them to make and sustain change, engaging their networks to promote enduring change. Some of these families may have had a lot of service support in the past and as a service we are committed to effectively engaging families and supporting them to make and sustain change, through a family and child centred approach, which is focused on creativity, effective relationships and co-production.
We love to identify and build on strengths within family systems to build resilience and skills, all the while empowering families towards a safe and positive future - if you have experience of working with children and families in this way and you feel passionately about supporting children and families to make and sustain change then we would love to hear from you.
