My client is a leading property provider in Hampshire with a landscape of significant change on the horizon. They are recruiting for an Interim Assistant Director of Financial Control on a 12 month fixed term contract with key responsibilities including:

• Leading a team in financial accounting, financial control and fixed assets management
• Developing a culture of improvement within the Financial Accounting team and increased ownership of key financial processes
• Taking ownership of year end, closure of month end, delivery of statutory accounts and management reporting
• Having full oversight and ownership of general ledgers
• Supporting internal stakeholders as the organisation transitions through a prolonged period of change by ensuring that financial processes are always operating in the best possible manner.

This will be a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong skills in areas including team leadership and change management to take on a critical and influential role in a large, complex organisation.

The office is based in Hampshire, with good transport links, and the postholder will encourage the team to gather a minimum of twice per week.

To be considered, here are the criteria to meet:

• Hold a full accountancy qualification with experience in finance leadership positions, ideally having worked in senior Financial Control positions in complex, sizeable and ideally Commercial environments previously
• Have excellent leadership skills, and a clear vision of what strong accounting processes look like, being able to provide strong narratives of how improvements can be made
• Have an appetite for leading teams through periods of change and be motivated by the opportunity to improve things within Finance.
