Priory Hospital Cardiffis looking to recruit an Interim Bespoke Therapeutic Placement (Ward) Manager to join the team. The shift Pattern are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. This is an interim role of 9 months and a full-time role of 37.5 hours a week.



The unit includes a variety of facilities, such as three secure gardens, a gym, patient practice kitchens, a patient social area, art rooms and dedicated support service areas. The service is currently being developed to provide bespoke treatment packages for a variety of patients with complex mental health needs. The unit will provide a modern, homely environment promoting independence, whilst employing an experienced multi-disciplinary team to oversee and support patient progress.

What you'll be doing





You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patient.Have clinical and leadership experience that provides the expertise and confidence required to support the wider nursing team. Be able to respond flexibly to change and the developing needs of the service. Be responsible for deputising in the absence of the ward manager if necessary and therefore must demonstrate a willingness to develop and expand on their existing roles and responsibilities. Be role models for their peers and demonstrate core priory values at all times therefore the expectations of this will need to be clearly set out. Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Abilities Registered Nurse with active NMC PIN with 5 years post-qualifying experience. Relevant clinical experience. Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practice.

The post holder must be currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a first-level nurse or with the Health and Care Professions Council, with appropriate registration or experience relevant to the ward. They should have at least two years' experience in a supervisory capacity within a relevant care setting and be a trained and current Assessor/Supervisor. Experience as a registered practitioner working in clinical settings relevant to the post is essential, along with evidence of continuing professional development. Desirable experience includes involvement in clinical audit and/or evidence-based service improvement, as well as working in environments that require the ability to manage multiple priorities. The role also requires experience supervising nursing or care staff, a willingness to undertake further clinical, managerial, and leadership training and development, and a good level of computer literacy.
