Interim Category Manager
Location: Plymouth (hybrid/on-site)
Rate: 300 per day
Contract: Ongoing interim contract with potential to go permanent
We are supporting a well-established manufacturing business in Plymouth that is seeking an experienced Interim Category Manager to support its procurement function during a period of change and growth.
The role will focus on managing key spend categories, driving cost savings, improving supplier performance, and supporting longer-term procurement strategy. There is a strong opportunity for the position to convert to a permanent role for the right individual.
Key responsibilities:
Manage and develop assigned procurement categories
Lead supplier negotiations and contract management
Deliver cost reduction and value improvement initiatives
Partner with internal stakeholders across operations and engineering
About you:
Proven experience as a Category Manager within manufacturing or engineering
Strong commercial and stakeholder management skills
Able to hit the ground running in an interim environment
This is an ongoing contract, with the opportunity to make a lasting impact within the business.
