The business manufactures and distributes to leading gardening retailers across the UK and Ireland, including over 1000 garden centres, national grocers, DIY multiples and online retailers.

The Role

This is an interim contract covering a maternity leave for circa 12 months reporting to the Head of FP&A & Business Partnering, starting circa 1st September 2025

Typically, your role will involve:

- Working with the FP&A Manager & wider Finance team, as well as partnering with both the Commercial & Operational teams to challenge & drive profitable growth across our Customer / Product Group portfolios.

- Leading analysis of Customer / Product Group Revenue trends, Margins, Operational variances & Overheads, alongside evaluating business performance & helping us achieve our strategic plan.

- Being responsible for developing monthly rolling forecasts / annual budgets and Power BI reporting, as we look to further automate our processes.

- Analysis of month end results against forecast, budget & prior year.

- Adhoc financial analysis & modelling as required.

About You / Criteria

We're looking for someone who:

- Is a commercially minded finance professional with a background in Finance Business Partner type roles

- Has a proven track record of delivering Revenue growth, Margin enhancement, EBITDA improvement & Working Capital efficiencies

- Has experience of leading / modelling rolling forecasts & budgets

- Has excellent analytical, Excel & Powerpoint skills (experience of Business Intelligence tools would also be useful)

- Is a team player and works well under pressure, with excellent interpersonal skills

- Is resilient to enable working to tight deadlines and budgets

- Problem solves with creativity.

- Is a fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA / CIMA)

You must have:-

Full accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA / CIMA)

2+ years Business Partnering experience in FMCG / Manufacturing type companies

Proven track record of delivering margin / profit improvement + cost savings

Experience of building rolling forecasts & budgets

Excellent excel skills
