Role: Interim Financial Controller - Transitions

Location: Blackburn, BB1 2FA - Office Based

Contract: Interim 6 Months - Full-Time Hours

Salary: \xc2\xa370,000+ circa dependent on experience

We are looking for an Interim Financial Controller to join our Finance Team on a 6 months basis. This is an important role, reporting to the UK Financial Controller that will focus on supporting our Australian and UK teams in continuing to deliver high quality outputs during the various functional transitions that are happening with in the business.

We are seeking a highly experienced qualified accountant who has extensive knowledge in financial transitions, mergers or acquisitions.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop a transition plan for the Australian finance function in collaboration with the team based in Sydney
  • Manage and support the local team to achieve key milestones throughout the transition
  • Responsible for ensuring clear communication and alignment across countries on decisions, actions and timelines
  • Ensure the continued success and quality of the day to day operations of the finance function during the transition
  • Responsible for the preparation and review of monthly management accounts from trial balance to financial statements.
  • Responsible for internal and external reporting process
  • Ensuring adherence to IFRS accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements
  • Management and development of a team of 10 part qualified and qualified accountants
  • Lead the Balance Sheet reconciliation process with the support of the team. This includes management of all aspects of the Balance Sheet.
  • Work with finance manager to lead on month end process and ensure strict deadlines are achieved to support group reporting requirements
  • Support group related requirements
  • Develop and ensure team focus of ensuring accuracy of site by site P&Ls
  • Support the commercial finance team with information and performance analysis to drive decision making for local teams
  • Lead year end statutory audit process, liaising with external auditors and providing all necessary documentation and evidence.
  • Overseeing the preparation statutory accounts and monthly Group pack submissions
  • Lead on ongoing development of finance processes and controls
  • Work closely with and develop a strong relationship with the Transactional manager to ensure strong transactional level control
  • Other adhoc projects

Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA
