The Opportunity

They are seeking an experienced

Interim Head of Housing

to provide strategic and operational leadership across our housing services during a transitional period. This is a vital role that will help shape the direction of their housing function and support the delivery of excellent tenant services.

This part-time interim position is ideally suited to a seasoned housing professional who thrives on challenge and is comfortable working in a hybrid model--with one day per week on-site in Dumfries and Galloway and the remainder of time worked remotely.

Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership and oversight of housing management services, including tenancy management, allocations, income collection, and community engagement Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory housing obligations Support and lead housing staff, fostering a performance-driven and tenant-focused culture Drive continuous improvement in service delivery and tenant satisfaction Contribute to organisational strategy and decision-making as a member of the leadership team Provide assurance and regular updates to the CEO and Board

About You

Proven leadership experience in a senior housing role within social housing Strong knowledge of housing law, regulation, and best practice in Scotland Excellent interpersonal, communication, and change management skills Ability to work independently and deliver results in a part-time, interim capacity Comfortable with a hybrid work model, including regular on-site presence
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Temp to perm
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: 500.00-600.00 per day

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week

Housing: 10 years (preferred)
