Job Description


As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the department\'s research endeavours by assisting in the execution of experiments, maintaining laboratory equipment and stocks, and preparing growth media. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking scientific discoveries that have a direct impact on the advancement of medical knowledge and patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials for experiments and research projects.
  • Assist researchers and scientists in conducting experiments, data collection, and analysis.
  • Maintain accurate and organised records of experimental procedures, results, and observations.
  • Perform routine laboratory tasks, including preparing growth media and agar plates according to SOP\'s
  • Monitor and maintain laboratory supplies,
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure and hazard-free laboratory environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and contribute to the overall success of research initiatives.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Have previous experience ideally within pharmaceutical or medical devices
  • Have experience with hazardous chemicals
  • Previous experience in a lab support role
  • A level or equivalent in Science
