Interim Senior Audit/Accountant

Are you an experienced Audit professional seeking a challenging opportunity? Join our client, a prominent service provider to global energy, renewables, and oil and gas markets, as an Interim Audit Lead. This is a fantastic 6-month fixed-term contract role based in St Helens, offering a competitive salary of up to approximately \xc2\xa355,000, dependent on your expertise. based in St. Helens, hybrid working potential

As the Interim Audit Lead, you will play a crucial role in the finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller and Senior Management Accountant.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Facilitating the production of consolidated financial statements
• Serving as the primary point of contact for external statutory audits
• Addressing auditor queries related to the year-end external audit
• Compiling calculations and reports encompassing key accounting judgments
• Providing expert accounting guidance to the finance team
• Overseeing compliance reporting and filing statutory accounts
• Offering insights into the technical aspects of financial disclosures within the Annual Report.

To be successful in the Interim Senior Audit/Accoutant role, you should possess:

• A robust technical accounting background with practice training
• Post-qualification experience in either practice or a similar role
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships at all levels
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the capability to meet tight deadlines
• Previous experience in auditing complex PLCs or working within a PLC group team
• A profound understanding of control requirements
• Highly numerate and analytical capabilities
• ACA or ACCA qualification
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
