Job Description
The Interim Senior Finance Officer will play a vital role in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance within the not-for-profit sector. This temporary position based in London requires expertise in accounting and finance to support the organisation's goals.
- Oversee daily financial operations, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Prepare accurate financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and organisational policies.
- Support the budgeting process and monitor expenditure against forecasts.
- Maintain and improve internal financial controls and processes.
- Assist in audit preparation and liaise with auditors as required.
- Provide financial advice and guidance to team members and other departments.
- Manage accounting systems and oversee any system upgrades or changes.
A successful Interim Senior Finance Officer should have:
- A strong background in accounting and finance, preferably within the not-for-profit sector.
- Experience in AP, AR and month end
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- An analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Competitive daily rate of approximately 135 to 155, depending on experience.
