Job Description
Interim Systems Accountant (SUN expert) - 6-9 months - Membership Body - ~400-500/day
- Manage and maintain the SUN accounting system, ensuring its alignment with organisational needs.
- Provide technical support and training to staff on SUN system functionalities.
- Analyse and troubleshoot system issues to ensure seamless operations.
- Assist in the integration of SUN with other financial tools and systems.
- Support the preparation of financial reports and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
- Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance team to enhance system efficiency.
- Undertake system upgrades and ensure data integrity throughout the process.
- Contribute to the development of best practices for system usage and reporting.
A successful Interim Systems Accountant should have:
- An accounting qualification
- Strong expertise in the SUN accounting system.
- Proven experience in systems accounting within the Not For Profit industry.
- A solid understanding of financial reporting and compliance.
- The ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to system improvements and troubleshooting.
- Competitive daily rate of approximately 400 to 500, dependent on experience.
- Flexibility to work remotely.
