Role: Interim Workforce Planning Consultant 3-Months FTC



Location: London- Hybrid



About the Role



Join an enterprise-wide operating efficiency initiative, focused on transforming how workforce planning is approached across permanent, fixed-term, and contingent staffing. The immediate goal is to develop a proof of concept in two business areas as part of this year's business planning cycle, starting in November. The project has a specific savings target and a strong mandate from senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:



Collaborate with business leaders and partners to create, pilot, and refine workforce planning strategies, with a focus on contingent resource management Work with Finance, HR Business Partners, and key stakeholders (including procurement and operational leads) to identify levers for more effective and efficient resource deployment Translate baseline workforce data into actionable insights and business plans Develop tools, frameworks, and recommendations to enable sustainable workforce optimization Engage and influence senior stakeholders, contributing to the setup for an 18-month operational rollout under a new Contingent Workforce Lead

Requirements



Proven expertise in workforce planning, particularly with large, complex organizations Extensive experience developing, piloting, and embedding workforce or resource management frameworks and tools Ability to analyse data, translate insights into business actions, and quantify/envision cost-savings opportunities Experience working on short-term, high-impact projects and collaborating cross-functionally Strong communication, facilitation, and influencing skills with comfort presenting to executive stakeholders Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly, manage ambiguity, and drive results in a fast-paced environment
