TPS is an London and Essex based Mechanical + Electrical and Energy and Sustainability Consultancy looking for Associate Partner Building Services Engineer to join the team in London.
TPS are a 20 strong team of Design Engineers with a close-knit friendly company ethos. They operate across a whole host of sectors including Commercial, Office, Residential, Education, Healthcare, Retail and Heritage-Listed Buildings throughout London and the UK.
As an Associate Partner you will be involved in both large single projects and multiple smaller projects with a varied workload which requires sound engineering design skills, managing projects from inception to completion. You will be play a key part in the team, delivering projects effectively to strict deadlines, whilst maintaining technical performance standards.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
The work will involve, but is not limited to:
To work as part of a team delivering high quality engineering designs and drawings
To assist in preparing engineering designs, drawings and specifications in accordance with the Company's management systems under guidance
Support senior engineers in designing safe, economical, and reliable mechanical systems that meet the project's contractual scope and comply with relevant standards and regulations.
Review tender submissions, technical submittals, and drawings to ensure the quality and compliance of products and equipment.
Assist in planning work schedules to align with project programmes.
Provide regular updates to line managers on progress and any issues.
Use strong written and verbal communication skills to ensure clarity and accuracy in internal and external communications.
Develop an understanding of project costing principles and contribute to managing changes during project development.
To comply with the Company's safety and IMS procedures
Skills, knowledge and experience desirable
Experience in system design, including HVAC, pipework systems, and plant sizing.
Familiarity with relevant mechanical design standards and regulations.
Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, Revit
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Shall have an awareness of commercial issues
Have the drive and self-motivation to continuously develop your skills
Knowledge of BSRIA BG6, Part L, BREEAM, and renewable energy technologies.
Previous experience working on multidisciplinary projects.
MEP experience - 5 years
Motivated and capable of driving self-development
Clear and effective communication skills
Time management
Comfortable delivering presentations and training.
Problem Solving
Previous construction related experience is required.
