The Role

We are seeking a motivated

Estimator

to join our team and support the preparation of accurate cost estimates, tenders and bids for our prestigious portfolio of

prime residential

,

super-prime

,

heritage

and

listed building

projects. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with some construction experience to develop in a specialist, high-profile environment working on landmark schemes.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed

cost estimates

,

tenders

and

bids

for

prime residential

,

heritage restoration

and

listed building

projects Analyse drawings, specifications and bills of quantities to produce accurate

construction cost estimates

Measure quantities and price materials, labour, plant and specialist trade packages Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers for

bespoke heritage

,

listed building alterations

and

high-end residential

works Support tender submissions, including compiling

pricing documents

,

cost breakdowns

and

value engineering

opportunities Assist in risk assessment and identifying cost-saving measures for

heritage

and

prime residential

schemes Use estimating software such or similar to produce take-offs and estimates Liaise with design teams, project managers and clients during the pre-construction phase Ensure estimates comply with

heritage regulations

,

planning conditions

and

listed building consents

Contribute to bid presentations and client meetings

About You

Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in Construction, Quantity Surveying, Estimating or related field (desirable) Some experience in

construction estimating

,

junior estimator

,

assistant estimator

,

quantity surveying

or related roles (welcome from residential, refurbishment,

prime residential

,

heritage

or

listed buildings

projects) Basic understanding of

construction costs

,

tendering processes

and

JCT contracts

Strong measurement and

cost estimation

skills with attention to detail Confident or willing to learn estimating software (training provided) Numerate, commercially aware with good communication skills London / Surrey based
