Quantity Surveyor

to join our vibrant team in Telford.

Your Role


As a Quantity Surveyor at Dodd Group, you'll manage the financial and contractual aspects of our projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. From preparing cost estimates and budgets to valuing completed works and managing contracts, you'll play a vital role in delivering value for money and supporting successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities



Produce valuations, claims, quotations, and performance reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Prepare project schedules and support tenders and estimates. Carry out site visits for measures, valuations, and client meetings to gather detailed briefs. Maintain clear communication with clients, providing prompt and accurate proposals. Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiations, payments, and final accounts. Complete cost value reconciliations and oversee budget monitoring. Identify and agree variations, advising on contract conditions where required. Collaborate with technical managers, procurement leads, and senior management to mitigate contractual and financial risks.

What We Need From You



Proven professional experience, ideally in the M&E Contracting industry. Outstanding attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues. Excellent organisational skills and ability to effectively manage a range of priorities with a structured approach and methodical working style. Experience of Estimating. A Construction degree or related discipline (HNC or HND) preferred with the relevant experience within a similar position.
