Our Internship Overview
The Amplify U Internship is a structured, 12-month paid programme open to individuals aged 18 and over who demonstrate a strong interest in a career in the music industry. Interns are placed within specific departments and will gain meaningful, hands-on experience while developing professionally and personally through curated development sessions, projects and network-building opportunities.
The Role
Globe is the dedicated brand agency of Universal Music UK, creating innovative and tailor-made business solutions for brands. We leverage the power of Music & Culture to create innovative and differentiated customer propositions for our brand partners to help them grow their business.
Be AdministrativeCollate all relevant marketing material from labels, artist management and stakeholders
Attend label meetings and update the Brand team on new artist releases and new signings
Create and update artist one-sheets with latest bios and data
Arrange and facilitate meetings (internal, external & virtual); preparing necessary documents for meetings
Produce and circulate the Globe weekly brand team status via the Monday.com application
Manage gig ticketing requests and update the team gig calendar
Arrange business travel bookings when required
Assist the office manager in the general running of the department inc. room booking, event organisation, couriers, welcoming guests, etc
Assist in the processing of campaign fees and invoices where appropriate
Delivery of additional ad hoc duties where required
Be OperationalSupport the accounts team on events and campaign shoots [live and virtual] inc. location scouting, venue booking, transport arrangements, rider provision, etc
Liaise with the internal events team and support with organising regular hospitality opportunities for clients
Support with Globe internal events/socials
Insight + New BusinessChampion our artist data insight tools to support with new business and artist one-pagers
Participation in creative brainstorm sessions
Assist in the preparation of new business presentations and pitch documents, incl. industry research and case study slides
Identify and share new digital trends adopted by influencers / artists [Tik-Tok, Instagram Reels etc]
Online research for brand contacts
Support with product placement ideas for new music video treatments
Assist new business team with research into prospective brand partners and priority development sectors
Develop a deep knowledge of the UMG roster and compile artist suggestions for new projects and pitches
Globe Socials + MarketingUpdate and input into the Globe Social Strategy/Comms Plan
Post across Globe Social channels [Instagram/LinkedIn/Facebook/Twitter] - case studies, artist + UMUSICUK re-posts, industry news, award announcements and New Music Friday
Produce and circulate our bi-weekly Globe Newsletter
Update the Globe Website with our latest work / case studies
Learning & Development
Throughout your internship, you will benefit from:A dedicated onboarding experience, including UMG UK immersion and coaching

Quarterly soft skills workshops (e.g. presenting, time management)
Networking sessions with professionals across UMG UK
Intern shadowing days and unique industry experiences

Who you are:Passionate about music and music video content, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
Desire to pursue a career within the creative fields of a label, previous experience highly advantageous
Proven experience of working effectively and efficiently under pressure in a calm and organised manner
Knowledge of the UK music landscape & new talent within it
Professional, proactive and flexible approach to work - ability to prioritise, multi-task & pre-empt problems before they occur
Excellent track record of working to strict deadlines & maintaining a high standard of attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal with people at all levels
Strong problem-solving skills
Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships both internally and externally
Team player able to work on own initiative
Ability to deal with situations discreetly & confidentially
Able to demonstrate a tactful and diplomatic approach
Experience in using systems and packages including Excel, Word and Outlook, Canva and Photoshop
