Job Title: International Label and Artist Marketing Intern
Duration & Start Date: 12-month Internship, commencing on the 8th of September 2025

Our Internship Overview
The Amplify U Internship is a structured, 12-month paid programme open to individuals aged 18 and over who demonstrate a strong interest in a career in the music industry. Interns are placed within specific departments and will gain meaningful, hands-on experience while developing professionally and personally through curated development sessions, projects and network-building opportunities.
The Role
As an Amplify U Intern, you'll contribute to live business initiatives, learn directly from industry professionals and grow through tailored development. You'll be immersed in the day-to-day of your department, gaining valuable skills and making a tangible impact.
Spinefarm Records is Universal Music Group's international specialist hard rock label and a global leader in rock and heavy music. Our varied roster includes Airbourne, Atreyu, Black Label Society, Bullet For My Valentine, Dead Poet Society, Electric Wizard, Employed To Serve, Royal Thunder, Killing Joke, Anti-Flag, Refused, While She Sleeps, The White Buffalo and many more. We are also the releasing label for specific Universal Music artists in different territories - these include Ghost, Seether, Ice Nine Kills, I Prevail and Rammstein. Our label has offices in New York, London and Helsinki and is distributed through Universal Music's Virgin distribution and label services platform.
We are looking to bring an intern into this team who can benefit from working within a small but energetic label team. This role represents a fantastic opportunity to learn about the different functions in a label. It will ensure interaction with all areas including A&R, marketing, promotion and manufacturing.
Key responsibilities in this role include:Managing weekly label communication to highlight key releases and share release schedule updates
New release set-up across various Virgin Music and UMG teams and systems
Maintaining the artist assets Box with relevant and up to date assets for global access
Delivery of secure music to label partners and mediaDelivery of new release information and marketing assets to label partners
Drawing up agendas for label and territory calls and circulating post-meeting notes
Various ongoing label database updates
Help accurately maintain the company's digital, video and physical release schedules
Coordinating interviews and live show guest lists with artist managers and international team
Sending stock on behalf of the team and partners (CD's, Vinyls etc) for promotional activities and bands on tour
Update mailing lists and be the main point of contact for MPE on behalf of the international team
Attend and manage meetings with territories and partners.
Assist in pulling reports from Chartmetric, Radiomonitor, UMG Consumption on behalf of the international team
Assisting in other daily tasks with the team, help solve queries and issues when brought up
Supporting the artist and label team in organising media interviews and guestlists for our artists
Supporting the artist and label team in creating, delivering and organising marketing assets
Supporting the team in creation and delivery of artist promotional and travel schedules, including booking travel
Learning & Development
