About the Milken Institute Internship Program
The Milken Institute's Internship Program aims to cultivate the next generation of leaders who are equipped to tackle the issues that shape the global agenda as they enter the financial, investment, corporate, multilateral, or philanthropic sectors. We create a customised experience for each intern, which is tailored to their interest area and career trajectory as well as emphasizes their professional and personal development.
About the Position
The European policy team offers graduates (Bachelor's or Master's) in the fields of economics, politics, international relations, business and finance unique exposure to key players in policy, finance, government and asset management industries across the UK and Europe.
Working closely with the Policy team, the Intern will focus on engaging current strategic partners, developing new partnerships, and expanding audiences around our series of events including roundtables based around the Institute's 'Investing in Europe's Competitiveness Initiative', as well as the year-round European Dialogues. The European Dialogues are a series of private events that gathers prominent regional and world leaders to exchange ideas on solutions that address Europe and UK's crucial economic, policy and finance issues.
Responsibilities
In coordination with the Policy team, the intern will:
Track policymakers, investors, corporate leaders and others who we wish to engage as part of the Competitiveness Initiative
Compile internal databases so we can best engage these stakeholders with our work
Help with our outreach to Germany policymakers as we plan to do more events there
Help with content generation for our roundtables and other events
Assist in speaker outreach for our European Dialogue series
Duties as assigned
Qualifications
Enthusiasm for research and data analysis
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a dynamic team environment
Familiarity with CRM software a plus
German language is preferred
Keen interest in finance is a plus
Internship Duration
We offer a 4-month internship for this role with flexibility on the dates.
Note
We are interested in qualified candidates who are eligible to work in the United Kingdom. Please note, we are not sponsoring visas at this time, being authorized to work in the UK is a precondition of employment.
This position will work a hybrid schedule consisting of three (3) days per week reporting in-person to the London office location (Tuesday - Thursday), with the remaining two (2) days working remotely. Please understand, this schedule is subject to change in the Institute's sole discretion.
