About Fresh Cut Video

Fresh Cut Video is a creative video production company based in Oxford. We produce engaging content for leading brands, universities, charities, and broadcasters, with a portfolio spanning corporate films, live streams, documentaries and social campaigns. Our team is passionate about delivering impactful visual stories across formats and platforms.

We're entering an exciting period of growth, with a high volume of new projects on the horizon - and we're now looking for a Videography Intern to support our experienced team across a range of technical and creative projects.

This is a brilliant opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop technical skills, and learn from a supportive and experienced in-house team.

What You'll Be Doing

This internship is designed to give you real-world experience across all stages of video production - from prepping kit and assisting on shoots, to editing and contributing to creative ideas. You'll be part of the crew from day one, learning by doing, and always supported by the wider team.

You'll work closely with our video team and gain practical experience in:

Assisting on shoots (camera support, lighting setup, sound) Managing and maintaining the kit room Prepping and packing equipment for productions Supporting basic editing and post-production tasks Helping with shoot logistics and general office support Contributing to creative discussions and brainstorming sessions

What You'll Learn and Gain

You don't need to know everything when you start - what matters most is your attitude, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.

Throughout the placement, you'll gain:

Confidence working with professional video equipment A solid understanding of lighting, audio, composition, and video workflows Experience editing in Adobe Premiere Pro and organising media efficiently Insight into the full production process from planning to delivery Mentoring and feedback from a team who wants to see you succeed

Our ideal candidate:

This will be a largely technical role suited to someone with a basic foundation in videography and editing. You might be finishing a college or university course in Film, Media or a related subject - or you may already have some hands-on experience with cameras and editing from personal projects or previous work.

You're probably someone who:

Loves the world of video production and wants to build a career in it Is curious, proactive, and excited to keep learning Has a quick mind and is adaptable to new situations Communicates clearly and enjoys working as part of a team Is dependable, organised, and happy to pitch in wherever needed Has a growing interest in kit and technology Has a proactive mindset when it comes to problem-solving
Experience with cameras and Adobe Premiere Pro is a bonus, but certainly not essential - we'll help you build confidence with the tools we use.

What Happens After the Internship?

This internship is designed as a six-month fixed-term role, and is a great stepping stone, but we're very much hoping it becomes more than that. For the right candidate, there is genuine potential to:

Transition into a long-term or permanent junior videographer role Take on more responsibility in shoots, edits, or kit management Continue developing your skills within our creative and technical team
We see this as the start of something - not just a short-term placement.
