Full Time position



Permanent Contract



Location: Hay-on-Wye and Knighton Agencies



5 days per week, 35 hours

About the role:



We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Internal Account Executive to join our team in the Hay and Knighton Agencies, specialising in the farming and commercial sectors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new business, the day-to-day management of existing accounts, and delivering tailored insurance solutions that meet the unique needs of agricultural and commercial operations.

Key Responsibilities



Prospect and develop new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and targeted marketing efforts. Day-to-day management of existing accounts by handling changes to commercial, personal and motor policies. Dealing with general incoming farming and commercial queries from our diverse client base. Cross selling financial lines policies, cover enhancements and Risk Management Services to existing clients. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients in the farming and commercial industries. Identify client needs and present appropriate insurance products and risk management solutions. Work closely with underwriters to negotiate terms and secure favourable coverage for clients. Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and market developments relevant to agricultural and commercial insurance. Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and prepare reports on account activity and pipeline forecasts. Collaborate with internal teams including claims, underwriting, and customer service to ensure seamless client support.

About you

Experience working within the Insurance industry desirable. Understanding of insurance products relevant to farming and commercial businesses. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software. People orientated approach. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Full UK driving license.
