Job Description

Internal Audit department as a third line of defence (3LoD) is responsible to provide an independent, objective assurance and advisory service to add value and improve the Bank's operations. As an Internal Audit - Assistant Vice President, you will be supporting with undertaking audits, reviews and investigations in accordance with the Internal Audit Methodology. As part of the role responsibilities, you will be performing a variety of tasks across the planning, fieldwork and reporting phases of audits, validating the closure of management action plans, performing risk assessments and supporting the team on any other tasks as needed. This is a full time permanent position.

Key Responsibilities



Support with performing audit assignments in various areas (e.g. Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Financial Markets, Credit, Technology) in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, quality standards and regulatory requirements. This will include a variety of tasks across the planning, fieldwork and reporting phases of an audit. Audit work may include supporting special reviews, investigations and ad-hoc tasks Participate in the ongoing assessment of the control environment through continuous monitoring and assist the team in conducting risk assessments and contributing to the annual audit plan Complete audit work papers timely in accordance with the department's standards and assist with finalising the audit report Validate closure of management action plans Assist the department in carrying out any other relevant work

Requirements



Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics Professional qualifications/certifications (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIA or similar) are preferred Solid experience of working in Internal Audit or Assurance reviews in Banking Experience in Credit and/or Technology (including Cyber Security and Information Security) related risks and controls would be an advantage Proven abilities in taking responsibility for executing high quality deliverables according to defined timelines Knowledge of Retail and Corporate Banking products and services, and associated risks and controls Understanding of key regulatory requirements and industry developments that affect the risk profile of the businesses/functions within a bank Good organisational skills and the ability to work proactively and within deadlines Commercially aware Good analytical skills Attention to detail Excellent communication skills Team player who is able to build relationships with stakeholders
