Internal Audit Associate \xe2\x80\x93 IT Specialist! An opportunity has arisen for an Internal Audit Associate to join our Internal Audit function in our IT Specialism. The role will give the successful candidate a fantastic opportunity to learn about the Building Society\xe2\x80\x99s operating model, ways of working, and services, and build a rewarding career in IT Audit. About the role You will be given exposure to wide range of risk areas, but in particular, risks relevant to our IT systems. You will support Internal Audit Managers in delivering audits, interacting with teams across the business, to give you the grounding for your future career. We will give you the support and training you need to develop your expertise, including access to relevant professional qualifications, such as CISA. Responsibilities:

• Supporting the delivery of audits laid out in the Audit Plan, and providing, assurance over the Society\xe2\x80\x99s IT risks.
• Applying your experience and capabilities to test control frameworks across the business, You will engage with stakeholders and be actively involved in stakeholder management, agreeing value-adding remedial actions for issues identified in audit fieldwork.
• Helping to draft high quality audit reports.
• Validating and closing actions that address previous audit findings.
• Working innovatively with colleagues across Internal Audit to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the function.

About you This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in a career in Audit and IT to develop a career pathway for the future. You will have:

• Previous experience of working in an Audit or Risk function.
• Good knowledge of IT risk management and IT Audit techniques. (Knowledge of Technology Control frameworks (COBIT, NIST or equivalent) would be beneficial.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a number of priorities whilst delivering quality work.
• Great analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
• A continuous improvement mind set, curiosity, and the ability to challenge effectively when needed.
• Excellent teamworking. You will have the ability to build networks internally and externally and manage stakeholders.
