Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate all audit activities on-site at MoD Corsham, ensuring full coverage across operational and compliance areas. Identify and engage relevant personnel for audit participation, including maintenance and facilities teams. Develop and issue audit plans, schedules, and documentation tailored to site-specific requirements. Conduct audits and investigations, gathering evidence and assessing compliance with internal policies and health & safety regulations. Write detailed audit reports with clear findings, recommendations, and corrective actions. Monitor and follow up on audit outcomes to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement. Issue compliance notices and support health & safety enforcement across the site. Collaborate with stakeholders to promote a culture of accountability and regulatory awareness.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and deliver internal audits across operational, regulatory, and compliance areas. Collaborate with internal controls and investigation teams to shape a robust audit environment. Present clear, evidence-based audit findings to senior stakeholders and the Audit Committee. Track and support the implementation of corrective actions that add real value to the business. Provide ad-hoc advisory support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone with a strong background in internal audit and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. Ideally, you'll bring:


Internal audit experience Knowledge of ISO 9000 standards NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent H&S awareness) Background in Facilities Management (FM) A valid UK passport * A 5-year checkable work history for SC clearance eligibility
