Internal Audit Director - Build Your Own Service Line
Location: Belfast (with Ireland & UK-wide remit)

This is a unique opportunity to build and lead an Internal Audit service line within a highly successful and ambitious practice. With no existing internal audit lead, this is a genuinely greenfield role - ideal for someone with the experience, drive, and strategic vision to create something of their own, backed by an established brand and leadership team.
The firm is ready to invest in this area - both in infrastructure and support - and is actively looking for someone to shape the direction, deliver engagements, and grow the client base. You'll benefit from internal referrals, cross-service collaboration, and the confidence that comes with having a strong foundation of advisory, accounts, and tax clients.

What will I do?

• Build and lead the internal audit and risk advisory function
• Deliver a mix of outsourced and co-sourced internal audits, governance reviews, and controls assurance projects
• Work closely with clients across the private and public sectors
• Develop frameworks, methodologies and internal tools
• Collaborate across the firm with tax, advisory and corporate finance teams
• Represent the firm in the market and lead on business development
• Recruit and mentor a growing team

What will I have?

• A strong commercial mindset and the confidence to lead from the front
• Proven internal audit and governance experience (ideally with a mix of practice and in-house exposure)
• The ability to build relationships, spot opportunity and deliver high-quality engagements
• Credibility with clients at board and audit committee level
• A collaborative style and long-term view - you'll be building something that lasts
