Job Description



A brand new role for Sharpsmart! As Internal Communication Coordinator you will provide governance of company-wide internal communications across our UK business, collaborating with the wider business to share successes and industry updates, facilitate company-wide forums for informing business changes, and work with internal stakeholders to develop our employee training and education material. This role will play a pivotal part in fostering employee engagement and driving retention and growth through internal communication and education strategies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the development, implementation, and ongoing evolution and maintenance of the UK communication platforms including SharePoint and Resource Libraries
  • Help to coordinate monthly business updates, quarterly business newsletters, & regular news posts
  • Work with key sales stakeholders to capture and report on commercial wins
  • Manage intranet-based employee engagement initiatives through #SharpsmartShares \xc2\xb7 Monitor analytics on communication platforms and leverage to understand and improve engagement
  • Conduct internal research to understand the needs of the business and its employees with regards to communication.
  • Work with key stakeholders to extend the reach of communication & engagement initiatives to plant operators, drivers, field service and other non-networked staff (i.e., Event management, Communication Screens)
  • Support the planning and deploying of UK \xe2\x80\x98State of the Union\xe2\x80\x99 events with the Senior Leadership Team
  • Support Project & Communications Coordinator with Global communications-specific projects
  • Help organise and promote internal events, workshops, initiatives and programmes
  • Research and implement additional opportunities (i.e., Yammer) \xc2\xb7 Analyse and report on impacts of internal communications to the Marketing Team and wider business.
  • Work with business unit leaders across the organisation to develop training material for their respective teams.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to translate SOP\xe2\x80\x99s and training guides into Sharpsmart Academy modules
  • Collaborate with People and Culture business area to ensure that all education materials are easily accessed and utilised by employees

Candidate Profile:

  • Completion of a minimum of one year of appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience preferred (Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, HR, etc.)
  • Excellent project management, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, problem-solving environment
  • Solid administration and organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Bonus: SharePoint knowledge
  • A can-do attitude
