Internal Communications Content Manager

London, United Kingdom

Job Description

We\'re looking for an Internal Communications Content Manager to join our team in London. This role is a unique opportunity to define and shape how Wisers connect with the Wise mission and each other globally.

Your mission is to bring Wise\'s story and mission to life, and inspire them to go beyond the job and embody our key values including "this is not a job, it\'s a revolution" and "customer > team > ego". To do this, you\'ll be responsible for sourcing, building and executing an internal content programme to help inform, educate and connect a rapidly scaling global audience of Wisers with the Wise story, strategy and the progress we\'re making on Wise\'s mission .

Key day-to-day responsibilities include leading and collaborating cross-functionally to curate stories to build a coherent narrative around key topics such as the latest product and company developments. You\'ll also own key internal channels like our twice-monthly global team calls and our twice yearly "Mission Days" events where you\'ll be responsible for conceptualising and executing on these channels - from sourcing and building the agenda to coordinating and coaching the speakers.

You\'ll also be responsible for building strategies to help us maintain, evolve and scale this programme as we continue to grow globally, and help company leadership find new and engaging ways to connect with all Wisers. You always have your ear to the ground and a finger on the "pulse" of the organisation and know what issues, questions or concerns Wisers may have.

You\'ll work closely with our Leadership team, including our Chief Marketing Officer, and teams like Product, Operations, Investor Relations and more.

Today, we are more than 5,000 people in 17 global offices serving 16 million customers worldwide. We are growing fast so no two days will ever be the same.

Our brand is bold and your approach should be too.

Your primary areas of responsibility

  • Team calls: The twice monthly calls are one of the key ways we keep the company updated on the latest developments and work from across teams at the company. As a member of the internal communications team, you\'ll be responsible for running these calls end-to-end, from sourcing topics and speakers to running logistics alongside the UT team ("user technology" team - our tech support team)
  • Mission days: The bi-annual "all-hands" conference is our flagship internal event. You\'ll be a member of the core team, and will be responsible for curating the programme, writing the agenda, developing key messages, coaching speakers, and collaborating on event logistics with the events lead and agency.
  • Defining success metrics: You understand and are skilled at diving into data to pull out insights to inform your thinking and drive your decision-making. You know how to articulate KPIs and success metrics, and you\'re excited to build this capability from scratch.
  • Delivering new, creative formats: You know that the same old formats can get stale and lead to low employee engagement. You\'re excited to bring new, best-practice internal communications channels to a fast-growing organisation.
  • Helping spokespeople: Wise spokespeople are already well versed in presenting, but you should be able to take them from great to best-in-class with feedback on presenting to large teams.
This role will give you the opportunity to:
  • Grow as a leader - You will work directly with our leadership team, and collaborate with teams across Wise
  • Be part of our mission to make money without borders the new global standard
About you
  • Self-starter - you\'re driven and are comfortable taking initiative to get things done under your own steam. You\'re willing to get your hands dirty, and you can and will go through walls to make things happen. You thrive in execution mode as much as when you\'re strategising
  • Solutions-oriented problem solver - you\'re unfazed by hurdles and you know how to deal with ambiguity, and adapt to shifting priorities to find solutions
  • Self-sufficient and organised - your attention to detail is second to none and you can demonstrate how you work independently, with minimal oversight
  • Messaging and communications expert - your writing is clear, concise and rarely needs more than a couple rounds of edits. You\'re a creative, natural storyteller who can craft clear, compelling messages for a large company. Excellent written and spoken English
  • You\'re a consummate networker - you have your ear to the ground and a finger on the "pulse" of the organisation, and are able to build a network of contacts across different parts of the organisation
  • You are a big picture thinker - you can quickly grasp an overall narrative while not losing sight of the crucial details. When there\'s no obvious unifying narrative, you can give feedback to help shape one
  • Data driven - you\'ll base decisions on metrics and have clear KPIs for all your plans
  • Mission driven - You\'re truly passionate about the Wise mission
  • You have a naturally global mindset and are open to travel - we\'re a global team, so you should feel comfortable spending time travelling and working out of our other offices at least once a quarter (when possible)
Key benefits:
  • Flexible working - whether it\'s working from home, school plays or life admin we get that flexibility is essential and you\'re trusted to do the right thing and be responsible
  • Stock options in a profitable company
  • Generous parental leave
  • Private healthcare plan
  • Pension scheme
  • Relocation support
  • Loads of development opportunities
  • A fun work environment with social activities and events
  • The opportunity to work with super smart, curious people
We\'re people without borders - without judgement or prejudice, too. We want to work with the best people, no matter their background. So if you\'re passionate about learning new things and keen to join our mission, you\'ll fit right in.

Also, where and what you studied isn\'t important to us. If you\'ve got great experience, the right skills for the role and you\'re great at articulating your thinking, we\'d like to hear from you.
