About the Role
We're looking for a creative and driven Internal Communications Executive to support the Internal Communications & Engagement Manager. This role will use our strategy to help shape and deliver engaging, clear and consistent internal communications across the business. You'll play a key role in ensuring employees are informed, connected and inspired by our strategy, culture and values.
This role is particularly important as the organisation continues on a journey of transformation following our demerger from TalkTalk. You'll support change management initiatives by crafting compelling narratives, ensuring transparent communication and helping employees understand and embrace change.
Key ResponsibilitiesSource, write, and publish engaging content across internal communication channels (email, intranet, newsletters, digital signage, internal social platforms).
Build relationships across departments to develop a regular pipeline of content, contacts and advocates who support communication and engagement objectives
Support the planning and delivery of regular internal events such as town halls, speaker series and employee recognition activities.
Support the management of internal channels driven by an editorial calendar and collaboration with departmental stakeholders.
Contribute to key engagement initiatives such as staff surveys, wellbeing campaigns, and values-based projects.
Monitor and analyse communication effectiveness and engagement metrics to inform improvements.
Manage a calendar of internal campaigns and activities, including charity, team-building, and wellbeing initiatives.
What Will Make You Successful in This Role?Proven experience in internal communications, employee engagement or corporate storytelling.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at all levels.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with digital tools such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Adobe or similar platforms.
A proactive, self-starting attitude with a passion for connecting people and ideas.
Desirable SkillsExperience in a communications, journalism, HR or marketing role.
Familiarity with internal social platforms (e.g., Yammer, Slack) and content management systems.
Basic knowledge of multimedia content creation and editing including photos, videos, and graphics for internal use.
