Our high-profile client, a major transport network, have an exciting opportunity for an immediately-available Internal Communications Manager, set to join the Southwark-based team on an initial five-month interim basis (with a strong likelihood of extension).

Working closely with the Head of IC and Senior Comms Manager, the successful candidate will be accountable for the development, delivery and management of employee communications channels, programmes and campaigns to support delivery of strategic change projects and priorities.

This position, offering hybrid working options (c. 2/3 days in-office per week), has an immediate start and offers \xc2\xa3370-\xc2\xa3470 per day (inside IR35), subject to skills/experience.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for creating and implementing employee communication plans and campaigns that ensure the effective, timely and two-way flow of information across the business to drive behaviour change and engagement

Manage and develop innovative communication channels, both online and offline, and with a particular focus on evolving digital platforms in line with industry best practice

Support the Head of Employee Communications/Senior Communications Manager in developing and delivering employee engagement and communication plans in response to business needs and change programmes

Design, create plans for and lead the implementation of inclusive employee communications and engagement programmes and campaigns, managing the processes, interfaces and hand-offs for delivery across all parts of the organisation, ensuring standards are applied

Contribute to the development and support delivery of the organisation\'s editorial strategy and tone-of-voice guidelines

Set and share best practice with colleagues and stakeholders across the function

Key Requirements

Proven track record of creating and deploying employee communications and engagement channels, programmes and campaigns with a measurable positive impact on employee engagement and business performance

Communication skills - highly effective written and presentation skills, internal communications planning, digital channel delivery, expert with industry standard software systems

Change communications experience

Strength in building relationships with stakeholders, with the ability to advise and push-back on (when required) senior stakeholders

Significant knowledge of effective communications and engagement strategies and techniques across the full range of face-to-face, digital (including social media), print and broadcast communication channels

Culturally aware, with an understanding of complex organisations and an appreciation for business, operational and customer issues

Able to identify communication issues and solve problems using sound judgement and analysis, providing practical and pro-active communications guidance and supportExperience working in either transport or unionised environments is desirable
