An exciting opportunity has arisen within the LED Leisure group for a

Duty Fitness & Wellbeing Coach

to join

The Space, Dartington

on a

12-month fixed-term maternity cover

contract. Since opening in January 2025, The Space has quickly established itself as a key health and wellbeing destination in the Totnes area, offering a modern gym, dynamic group exercise studio, and a growing member base.


We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to support the Leisure Manager in leading the club's daily operations, overseeing the fitness team, and delivering a high-quality, customer-focused service.

About the Role

In this hands-on leadership position, you'll:

Deputise for the Leisure Manager and lead the team in their absence Deliver inductions, programme reviews, and member support Manage and support a team of Personal Trainers and Group Exercise Instructors Contribute to marketing campaigns and member engagement initiatives Support day-to-day financial, administrative, and compliance procedures Deliver personal training sessions and group exercise classes as needed Maintain a safe, welcoming, and professional environment at all times

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a team player with leadership potential and a genuine passion for helping people improve their fitness and wellbeing. You should be confident working independently, proactive in your approach, and capable of providing both operational support and front-line service.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Level 2 Fitness Instructor Qualification (minimum) Experience working in a health & fitness setting Strong organisational and interpersonal skills Ability to lead a team and support with rota management Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends

Desirable

Level 3 Personal Trainer Qualification Group Exercise Certification First Aid at Work & Health and Safety training Experience delivering inductions, reviews, and member tours Knowledge of membership systems and sales processes

satisfactory enhanced DBS check
