Job Overview


We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Office Manager to cover Maternity Leave and oversee the daily operations of our Internal Sales Office team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid background in administrative functions, ensuring that our office runs smoothly and efficiently. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Duties



Oversee the daily operations of the sales office, ensuring efficiency and high service levels. Identify and implement business process improvements Track and review KPIs (orders, quotes, complaints, delayed deliveries) and implement improvements where needed. Work closely with purchasing, transport, deliveries, and other departments to ensure smooth processes. Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and guidance to the internal sales team. Manage workload allocation, holiday cover, and performance across the team. Mentor staff, supporting professional growth and engagement. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and positive culture Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained by the team Oversee quotation, tender, and order processing to ensure accuracy and efficiency Provide support with escalated customer queries when needed. Build strong working relationships with Sales Managers, Marketing, and other departments Ensure accurate reporting, budgeting, and effective use of ERP/EDI systems Support field staff and contribute to cross-departmental projects.

Required Skills and Experience



Proven experience in managing and motivating a team. Ability to identify and implement business improvements Strong people leadership skills with a focus on coaching and development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build trust. Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills. Customer service background with a track record of delivery. Competent with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/EDI systems desirable.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 15 months
