Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Internal Sales Representative to join our Elgin Branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting customers through the full sales process, from initial enquiry to aftersales support, while proactively identifying opportunities to promote additional products and services.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of sales activity arising from customer enquiries. Respond to and process orders received via telephone and email. Deliver outstanding customer service by advising on product options and availability. Allocate in-stock products and, where necessary, place orders with suppliers. Provide accurate pricing and delivery information. Support external sales staff with order processing and customer updates. Monitor and update overdue orders; review OEIOs weekly. Expedite supplier deliveries and resolve issues with customers and suppliers. Handle customer returns, ensuring proper documentation and resolution. Assist and support sales support staff and other team members as needed. Continuously update product knowledge to improve customer offerings. Work towards performance targets where applicable. Take a proactive approach whilst identifying and developing new business opportunities through relationship building Foster strong relationships with existing customers and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth and collaboration

Required Skills & Experience

Strong numeracy and literacy skills. Confident keyboard and computer system skills. Basic understanding of sales processes and product systems. Ability to negotiate effectively with customers and suppliers. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions. Adaptability and willingness to embrace change. Previous sales experience is desirable.
