Job Summary:

Working within the service department, you will be responsible for consulting with our technicians and service desk and producing quotations for required remedial work identified both on maintenance visits with our contract base and breakdown visits for contract and non-contract customers. The quotes need to be accurately costed and delivered in a professional manner so excellent commercial awareness and customer service are essential. You will be responsible for managing and developing these opportunities using our CRM pipeline. On conversion of these quotes to order you will be responsible for processing the customer order and placing orders with our suppliers for required parts to ensure the works are fulfilled to our customers satisfaction. You will be working closely with the service desk and your peers in the internal sales team so must be able to work well within a team but also be capable of independent working. You will need to be adaptable and cope well under pressure and be capable of recognising urgency and prioritising workload.

Responsibilities:

  • Always ensure exemplary customer service experience and communications throughout the sales process
  • Work as an integral part of a team, this role has shared responsibilities and you should be able to work and operated within a close team environment.
  • Compile customer quotations for repairs (lead generated and proactive).
  • Walk/educate the customer through quotation/opportunity to build confidence, rapport and gain the sale.
  • Generate revenue opportunities.
  • Ensure sales pipeline remains clean and up to date
  • Provide a weekly forecast update on projected sales opportunities.
  • Set leads on CRM system
  • Receive, process customer orders, raise work order, order parts, deliver customer and internal updates
  • Inform customer on order and delivery status
  • Service desk support by raising work orders, call handling and offering support advice
  • Oversee Major Accounts communication for all opportunities and orders
  • Provide Major account reports
  • Water sample processing
  • Additional team tasks as required
  • Basic level technical support to external customers.
  • Support to technicians where required.
Key Competencies:
  • Internal Sales experience preferably in the HVAC or similar background
  • Excellent customer service and communication ability
  • Exceptional collaborator with proactive approach
  • Practical aptitude or engineering qualification an advantage, although qualification not essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including a good telephone manner and with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Comfortable working in a high volume fast paced business
