The Procurement function is composed of over 500 colleagues in over 50 countries focused on the supply of goods and services. We are responsible for over 15,000 suppliers with whom we source over $400m with each year. After staff pay, this represents Save the Children's largest expenditure and is a critical enabler to ensure our programmes and advocacy work achieve impact for children.

This is enabled through sector-leading policies and procedures, comprehensive training, a pioneering supplier sustainability programme and an award-winning Source-to-Pay technology platform.
The Strategic Sourcing Team is a core part of Procurement and is responsible for the strategy and approach to sourcing across all office locations. Specific responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the right global supply solutions are in place by completing above country sourcing activities.
- Suppliers are managed effectively, in order to achieve maximum value for money.
- Ensuring the right strategies are in place for all locally sourced goods / services by implementing category strategies.
- Providing support and guidance to local procurement staff, through formal training / capacity building programmes and ad hoc support.
- Ensuring that procurement policy / procedures / tools etc. are up to date, relevant and well understood by all staff.
Role purpose
To support the delivery of compliant, effective and efficient procurement for the London office and Global Functions, whilst achieving Value for Money. This will involve supporting the Procurement Manager,
completing sourcing activities, partnering with key stakeholders and providing Procurement system and procedural support to customers.Principal
