Responsibilities:

An exciting opportunity to build a highly innovative recently launched consumer brand (launched in Europe in 2023.) This new brand complements our existing portfolio in all channels outside of the vet clinic (like pharmacies, online retail, and pet shops). Highly visible role responsible for launching and establishing this new consumer brand across multiple international markets with a big impact on the organization. Elanco is looking for a candidate with established and proven experience in working within the retail space and marketing CPG brands to consumers. The candidate must be willing to embrace challenges, persist through obstacles while growing physical and mental availability of this brand in a newly established category. This person with a growth mindset is a high performing leader that turns insights into tangible actions with great results.

Whilst the role is focused on delivery on 1 key brand and continuing the successful launch of this brand the role will also be responsible in establishing retail & shopper marketing standards across the portfolio and across geographies internationally. Working with the other brand leads in the team to form a cohesive and effective category strategy across the OTV channels.

Business Ownership

  • Ensures local launch success by overseeing execution of launches and their-in-market performance with local affiliates;
  • Tracks brand health and performance KPI\xe2\x80\x99s;
  • Provides direction and guidance in case of needed mitigation measures, in case of lacking in-market results;
  • Manages pricing strategy and monitors implementation in international markets;
  • Manages Advertising & Promotional budget.
Brand Strategy Development
  • Refines and evolves the International brand strategy;
  • Collaborates with local markets for localization of respective brand plans.
Shopper Marketing
  • Using multiple data sources provide insights and recommendations to brand marketing team;
  • Utilize existing consumer, shopper and customer tools to understand the shopper, their behaviours and key levers;
  • Create, or customize, programs that help drive higher visibility in store, conversion, repurchase and basket size;
  • Leverage system for shopper data processing, analysis and interpretation in support of the above;
  • Work closely with other brand leads.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree, Marketing/Business preferred;
  • Minimum 10 years marketing experience and direct brand management within consumer packaged goods area;
  • Shopper Marketing experience with some relevance to Animal Health;
  • International / multi-market strategic brand management experience;
  • Strong command of English language;
  • Achieving results in matrix structure;
  • Strong self-organizational skills & good project management skills;
  • Strong presentation and communication skills;
  • Strong international outlook with ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally and across different cultures.
Additional Skills & Preferences:
  • MBA preferred;
  • European time zone to maximise working hour availability across different countries;
  • Solid experience in discovery, synthesis and execution of customer insights;
  • Solid strategic thinking skills;
  • Ability to make decisions within the context of uncertainty and ambiguity;
  • High mental agility;
  • Strong growth mindset;
  • Strong ownership and capability to work independently;
  • Strong team player, engaging stakeholders across functions and hierarchies.
Additional Information:

International role working across different time zones.

Candidate in European time zone preferred.

Travel:

Approx. 5 - 10%
