International Logistics Coordinator
Dale Farm is the largest UK farmer-owned cooperative, owned by 1,300 UK farmers. We supply a wide range of dairy products, including cheese, butter, dairy spreads, fresh milk and ice cream to consumers and as food ingredients into the UK, Irish and international markets.
Core to our success is our people, and we now have an exciting opportunity within our logistics team for International Logistics Coordinator to join, based at our Head Office in Belfast. This role is a maternity cover, fixed term role for 9-12 months.
The Role
Reporting to the International Logistics Manager, the International Logistics Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the international commercial function and overseeing the global shipping of our products.
This role is suited to a dynamic professional with a solid work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced commercial environment. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Incoterms, shipping documentation, and TSS, and be results-driven, creative, energetic, and able to multitask effectively.
What you'll be doing:
In this role you will be maintaining contact with all customers and suppliers to develop an in-depth understanding of objectives, strategies and operational requirements. Main responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the main point of contact for customer orders across our ingredients range, ensuring professional customer service throughout the full order process.
  • Planning chilled freight within the UK, EU and worldwide.
  • Preparing shipping documentation.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external authorities on export documentation.
  • Working cross-functionally across the Group to ensure we exceed customer requirements and meet budget and forecast deadlines.
  • Assisting with the movement of goods from GB to NI and associated customs procedures.
  • Administrating GB imports through TSS and conducting associated document checks.
  • Providing support to the commercial function
  • Carry out other duties as reasonably required
What we are looking for:
  • Minimum 1 years' experience within a similar internal trade, customer services and/or customs role.
  • A 3rd level qualification in a relevant area (desirable)
  • Excellent commercial background
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc)
  • High attention to detail
  • Right to work in the UK (Sponsorship is not available)
