The International Logistics Manager will serve as Sprout's subject matter expert (SME) and strategic leader for global logistics operations. This role requires proven experience managing and scaling international transportation teams in complex, multi-region environments, while also being willing to personally perform tactical execution as needed. The successful candidate will be expected to help shape the future state of Sprout's global logistics maturity, while delivering immediate results in day-to-day shipment execution.
This role is ideal for a leader who can operate with a "Performing while Transforming" mindset: executing with urgency and accuracy today, while building scalable processes, KPIs, and best practices that position Sprout for long-term global growth Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on international logistics trends, compliance requirements, and process maturity.
  • Partner with executive stakeholders to define and implement a roadmap for global logistics that aligns with Sprout's expansion in Europe, APAC, EUMEA, NAM, and LATAM.
  • Identify opportunities to mature the business through improved processes, stronger vendor partnerships, and scalable systems
  • Manage end-to-end international logistics operations, with emphasis on foreign-to-foreign and foreign-domestic transactions, and oversight of U.S. export shipments.
  • Execute and supervise multimodal shipments including airfreight, ocean freight, parcel, and over-the-road trucking.
  • Develop and implement new KPIs that align with company goals, customer satisfaction, and speed of execution, while also ensuring adherence to OTIF and scheduling commitments.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to the Director of Logistics on performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Oversee accurate preparation of trade documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, shipper's letters of instruction, and export filings.
  • Use ERP/TMS platforms, third-party systems, and CBP ACE system for EEI filings.
  • Manage and monitor vendor performance, troubleshoot escalations, and ensure compliance with service-level expectations.
  • Serve as the primary logistics point of contact for cross-functional teams including outbound sales, project management, compliance, and shipping and receiving.
  • Ensure adherence to international trade compliance requirements, with a focus on both U.S. and foreign-originating shipments.
  • Collaborate with the Trade Compliance Manager and other leaders on SOP development, risk reduction, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and complete record retention for all trade documentation.
  • Stay current on global regulatory changes and ensure compliance in execution.
  • Hazardous and restricted goods handling experience required, with familiarity with WEEE, Basel Convention, and R2V3 standards considered strong pluses.
  • Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and supervision for logistics coordinators and related team members.
  • Deliver on key success metrics including OTIF, scheduling adherence, documentation compliance, and newly created KPIs that support customer satisfaction and speed to deliver.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7 years of proven experience in international logistics operations, including foreign-to-foreign and export shipments, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Demonstrated success building, leading, and scaling international logistics teams in complex, multi-region environments.
  • Hands-on expertise in multimodal transportation including airfreight, ocean freight, parcel, and OTR truck freight, with a willingness to perform tactical execution as needed.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP/TMS platforms and third-party logistics systems.
  • Experience using CBP ACE system for EEI filings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and trade documentation platforms.
  • Experience researching and applying accurate trade-related details: HS Codes, SCH B codes, ECCNs, licensing requirements, etc.
  • Proven experience and deep understanding of EAR and BIS requirements for best practices.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage urgency and complexity simultaneously.
