The role

The International Partnership & Relations (Scholarships & Sponsors) team are responsible for all aspects of the University's relationship with international funders, as well as managing the University's own International Scholarship Programmes. It's a busy team with lots going on, and although our work is cyclical in nature, the changing funding landscape keeps us on our toes and drives us to be innovative and focused on continuous improvement.



This role predominately focuses on the sponsor side of our work and is the first point of contact for enquiries about the University's International sponsor relationships. They manage a busy inbox alongside a wide-ranging portfolio of work related to sponsor funding.



We are a results-driven team with high standards and a strong customer service ethos, but we support each other and have some fun along the way!


What will you be doing?

Our Assistants play a pivotal role in helping the team deliver on agreed objectives. Within the first 12 months you can expect to:



Help bring a new sponsor engagement strategy to life

- You'll support the creation and rollout of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) tailored to different sponsor levels, and assist in developing internal processes to ensure smooth delivery across the university.

Streamline how we manage sponsor communications

- Take the lead on reviewing and improving how we manage our sponsors' inbox, including setting up response time targets, escalation protocols, templates for day-to-day communication, and improving workflows between teams.

Support the development of improved processes to manage sponsor intel and student data

- Help to improve processes and systems, and lead on maintaining and managing sponsor intel and data, which is key to the success of our work.

Support the development of marketing and promotional materials

- Help to create engaging content and produce our quarterly sponsor newsletter, including maintaining an up-to-date contact list.

Coordinate incoming visits and outgoing travel arrangements

- Play a key role in supporting the team with practical logistics, helping to organise trips, visits, and related communications to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Plan and deliver an exciting event

- Play a key role in organising an important event that brings together our sponsored students and sponsors, in line with our refreshed engagement strategy.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys variety in their day-to-day tasks. You'll also need to be comfortable working independently, taking ownership of key administrative responsibilities--such as managing a busy shared inbox--with professionalism and attention to detail.



You will enjoy working with people from different cultures and backgrounds and you'll have experience of providing exemplary customer service. You will be enthusiastic about creating and maintaining processes that support the team and have a desire to continuously improve these processes. Ideally, you might already have some marketing and/or event management experience, but if not, a willingness to get stuck-in and learn on the job is essential.
