Internet Sales Advisor - Fire Protection Shop

Full Time

Join us at Fire Protection Shop, one of the UK's top fire safety stores. We offer a wide range of products, from fire extinguishers and alarms to emergency exit signs and servicing equipment, catering to businesses, homes, and industries such as the building sector. Due to internal promotion, we are looking for an enthusiastic Internet Sales Advisor to join the team.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales and expanding our customer base, primarily through outbound calling. You will engage with businesses, locally and nationally, and other potential customers, educating them about our products and services, and converting leads into sales. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for sales, and an interest in fire safety.

This role is fully office based at our offices just off Raynesway, Derby.

Key Responsibilities

- Outbound Sales Calls: Conduct a high volume of outbound calls to potential customers to sell fire safety equipment, focussing on winning new, repeat custom.

- Lead Generation & Follow Up: Identify and qualify new sales leads through research, calling, and following up on inbound inquiries as well as using data provided by marketing.

- Product Knowledge: Constantly be learning and developing your knowledge of our product range and use this knowledge to clearly explain features and benefits to customers.

- Assessing Customer Needs: Engage in consultative selling by assessing customer needs and recommending appropriate products that meet their fire safety requirements.

- CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions on Freshdesk.

- Collaboration: Work closely with other sales team members, marketing, and customer service to ensure a seamless sales process and positive customer experience.

Requirements

- Proven experience in outbound sales, telesales, or a related field (ideally in eCommerce).

- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, charismatic.

- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a passion for sales and customer service.

- Ability to quickly learn and retain product knowledge.

- Excellent time management, punctual and organised.

- Able to work under pressure maintaining a positive, can-do attitude.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

- Previous experience in the fire safety or related industry is a plus, but not required.
