Job Overview

Colour Clad Profiles Ltd is seeking a driven and commercially minded Internet / Internal Sales Representative to join our growing sales team. This role is central to converting online enquiries and inbound leads into profitable, long-term trade customers, while also proactively developing new business through outbound sales activity.

You will be a key point of contact for builders, contractors, installers, developers, and trade customers across the UK, advising on roofing and cladding products, preparing quotes, and closing sales. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys B2B sales, relationship building, and delivering a high standard of service in a manufacturing and distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

Handle inbound enquiries generated via the website, email, phone, and online chat, converting leads into confirmed orders Proactively carry out outbound sales calls to builders, contractors, and trade customers to develop new accounts and grow existing ones Qualify customer requirements and provide accurate product advice on roofing sheets, insulated panels, flashings, fixings, and associated accessories Prepare and follow up quotations, negotiate pricing within agreed margins, and close deals in line with company targets Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, ensuring consistent follow-up and conversion of opportunities Use CRM and internal systems to log customer interactions, manage leads, track quotes, and monitor order progress Upsell complementary products and accessories to maximise order value Work closely with the external sales, production, transport, and marketing teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and customer satisfaction Maintain professional, confident communication with customers, representing Colour Clad as a reliable, knowledgeable trade supplier
Requirements

Proven experience in B2B sales, internal sales, trade counter sales, or a similar role within construction, building materials, manufacturing, or distribution Confident negotiator with a track record of closing sales and managing trade customer relationships Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple enquiries, quotes, and accounts simultaneously Comfortable with outbound calling and proactive lead follow-up Experience using CRM systems and sales/order management software Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional phone manner Commercial awareness, including basic margin, pricing, and quantity calculations Previous experience upselling or cross-selling products is highly desirable Knowledge of roofing, cladding, steel, or construction products is an advantage but not essential, as training will be provided

Pay: 24,420.00-35,000.00 per year
