Job Description

Purpose of the Role





Provide general support to the Environmental Projects team across a range of ongoing initiatives and priorities. Conduct policy research on environmental and carbon markets, covering a variety of project types, thematic areas, and jurisdictions. Undertake ad-hoc research assignments as required, aligned with specific project needs or team requests. Assist in the development and refinement of financial and carbon models to support project evaluation and planning. Contribute to the preparation of marketing materials, investor decks, and internal presentations. Attend and participate in meetings with project developers, stakeholders, and external partners, as well as conferences and in-person events when required. Support the team with additional tasks or responsibilities as appropriate.

Build a strong foundational understanding of environmental and carbon markets, including key mechanisms, players, and market dynamics. Gain familiarity with the principal international policies and frameworks that govern carbon markets and climate finance. Develop knowledge of various carbon project types and the fundamental scientific principles underlying their methodologies and impacts. Demonstrate the ability to independently conduct research using a range of sources, including official registries, policy documents, and academic or industry publications. Remain informed on current trends, regulatory changes, and emerging developments that influence the carbon markets and the broader environmental project landscape.

Skills and Experience





Studying or recently graduated in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Economics, Finance, Policy, or a related field Strong research and analytical skills, with attention to detail Basic knowledge or keen interest in carbon markets and climate finance Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial or carbon modelling is a plus Clear written and verbal communication skills * Proactive, curious, and able to work independently as well as in a team
