Arena is a global investment management firm that seeks to generate attractive risk adjusted, consistent and uncorrelated returns by employing a fundamentals based, asset-oriented financing and investing strategy across the entire credit spectrum in areas where conventional sources of capital are scarce.
Through originations and acquisitions of asset-oriented investments across a wide array of commercial and consumer asset types (including but not limited to private direct corporate and commercial real estate bridge lending), the investment team specializes in off-the-run, stressed, distressed, illiquid and esoteric special situation transactions.
Arena's investment team develops and designs investment structures to meet the unique needs of each opportunity. Arena is looking to expand the investment teams through the addition of a Summer Analyst. In this role, this individual will support the senior members of the team. Ideal candidates will have a demonstrated interest in finance and investing; thrive in an intense, team-oriented environment; and be highly organized, self-motivated, and resourceful.
Arena is looking to recruit talented recent graduates to its newly established two-year Analyst Program. Our Analyst Program is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing alternative credit investment firm, directly out of undergrad, without the typical requirement of 1-2 years of investment banking experience. Analysts will play a critical role in Arena's effort to deploy capital across its fundamentals based investment strategy across corporate private credit, real estate, structured product, natural resource, and liquid market verticals. Through on-the-job experience and regular training sessions, analysts will be exposed to various corporate finance and security analysis concepts including credit analysis, financial modeling, business model and capital structure, and fixed income and equity securities, among others. In addition to finance a security analysis, analysts will also learn important application of law with respect to buy-side investing as well as establishing critical corporate soft skills for successful careers in the financial industry. Each analyst will serve as a generalist assisting members of the investment team with industry and company due diligence, financing modeling, investment memorandum preparation, and other ad-hoc projects. Ideal candidates will have a demonstrated interest in finance and investing; thrive in an intense, team-oriented environment; and be highly organized, self-motivated, and resourceful.
The investment teams that an analyst as part of the Analyst Program will be able choose and rotate through will include the following.
