The Role




The role of the Investment banking Recruiter is an opportunity is to deliver recruitment services in line with agreed service levels and campaigns. This will involve utilising recruitment technology applications and agreed end-to-end processes to provide recruitment services for graduate and intern programmes for the business lines it will support.


A key component of this role is to manage the selection process of candidates from within the marketplace to agreed campaign timelines. This is a key role that requires a responsive and client-facing individual.


Working closely and collaboratively with the wider team, Investment Banking Recruiter will campaign manage across their emerging talent programmes, overseeing Early careers event activity, pipeline management, assessment centres, on-boarding and candidate and hiring manager satisfaction during the end-to-end process.

Key Accountabilities




Responsible for following the end-to-end recruitment process including:

Financial & Operational Excellence

Working with the Manager and client hiring managers to support the annual recruitment and forecasting process and business requirements Manage client presence at target universities, ensuring at all times we are getting value for money out of the agreements and our listings are positioned for maximum effectiveness; measure and own the reporting on response rates Oversight of relevant talent pools Work closely with Early Career Recruitment counterparts to align events, attraction materials and programmes where possible Manage internal relationships with BU Stakeholders and HR Business Partners, being their main point of contact for queries & support Maintain the recruitment system so that it accurately reflects the status of all selection activity Oversee the screening of candidates completed by the Business/ Screening team, as well as screening candidates where relevant Facilitate and deliver the interview and assessment selection process utilising the appropriate exercises and tools Oversee and manage the candidate pool in line with divisional and firm wide diversity goals Oversee the offer and on-boarding of emerging talent candidates Share divisional best practices with EMEA counterparts and wider EMEA ISG team

Client Focus


Provide a high level of candidate care by ensuring best practice selection methods are followed and appropriate frequent communication is deployed Build a good understanding of clients businesses and skills required by candidates to succeed within them Build collaborative relationships with hiring managers and manage issues, escalating as required Obtain feedback from stakeholders on how service can be improved.

Understands AMS people are a key market differentiator and is genuinely committed to aligning team behaviour to the AMS values Mentor / guide members of team on best practice approaches, client culture and support them in achieving success in their roles Support the rest of the team on an ongoing basis to achieve targets and goals Escalate any issues to the Manager in relation to issues with the supply of recruitment services Manage an Early Careers Coordinator, both directing work and monitoring performance in conjunction with the Client Services Manager and Investment Banking Early Careers Recruitment Manager.

Specialist/Technical Expertise


Add value to your business area through awareness and understanding of recruitment skills, trends and graduate market knowledge Conduct ad-hoc market research as directed by Manager Identifying areas of process improvement, service enhancement, related strategic projects and opportunities to increase the scope of the service and communicating these to the Client Services Manager and the team Knowledge of relevant legislation and SLAs

Skills & Experience



You'll need to demonstrate:




Must haves:




Track record of delivering the end-to-end Early Careers recruitment campaigns and targeted solutions Experience of the Early Careers market and knowledge of working with third parties in this environment Strong senior stakeholder management experience Exceptional communication skills, capable of building strong relationships and working independently with clients and candidates An awareness and basic understanding of the need for compliance and legislation Working knowledge of Microsoft packages; Outlook, Word, Excel Ability to liaise with and influence all levels of management to agree a change of direction or new process Experience of developing and delivering recruitment strategies and processes to improve outcomes (e.g. decreased time to hire, increased quality of hire)
